Lifestyle and portrait photography in your home
Most of us have homes that match our lifestyles, and our décor and surroundings are important to us (as are our pets and four legged family members who might want in on the shoot). We put a lot of time, thought and money into our homes so creating images of you and yours within your home with items which are important to you, makes for memorable images.
Outdoor photography sessions
If you have a certain building, place, or location in mind for a lifestyle or portrait photography session, we can arrange it. (Access permitted by owners/custodians).
With the British weather being unpredictable, sometimes sessions may have to be rearranged if they are booked for outdoors. If this happens, we will pick a new date and time that suits us all. If you are happy to continue regardless of the weather, (except high winds or heavy snow), game on!
How many images do I get?
Portraits/Lifestyle:
It all depends on the shoot and what you want. Don’t expect 100’s of images; it is more about capturing the perfect shot, rather than snapshots.
Weddings:
90% of wedding photography is reportage, as it happens. So, I take a lot of photos! I go through them all and pick out the best shots to make a storybook of your day. I try and cut down the set to approx. 400 max.
When can I expect to view my photos?
You can usually see your portrait session photos within a week of the session. Weddings you can expect to see one or images within a few days and the finished full set within two weeks of the wedding. If it is going to take me longer, I will let you know.
Once your images have been processed they will then be uploaded to secure password protected website where you can view and save your images for social media or prints.(I can recommend companies who will provide you with professional prints).

Portraits and lifestyle photography session
All sessions vary in time, depending on what you would like from your shoot. Prices start from £250 a two hour session in the local area (Whitby).
Weddings
Wedding photography starts at £1200 (2024) for a full day. A mix of reportage and portraits.
