Husband and wife, Anthony and Sarah are not only darkly devoted to each other, they are completely devoted to music, and they have one of the largest and most impressive vinyl and music collections I have ever seen. (Pictured is just a small amount).
They both have their own styles with music at the forefront of their lives. They have been to so many gigs since their teens and know so many people. They live in Whitby but are known all over on alternative scenes and their knowledge about music is legendary. Music is such a huge part of their lives, and both have spent their lifetimes devoted to music.
Their wardrobe is almost as extensive as their record collection and includes genuine designer and bespoke 80’s clothing. Both of them express who they are through their clothing, and I don’t think I have ever seen them wearing the same outfits more than once.
Documenting who they are and what is important to them meant a shoot at their home was the obvious place. I asked them to choose their favourite albums for the vast amount they own. (I was expecting Anthony to choose Gary Numan’s ‘The Pleasure Principal’ album, but it was ‘Man Machine’ by the icons and legends of electronic music, Kraftwerk). Sarah also instantly knew what her choice was, ‘World in My Eyes’ by Depeche Mode. Both are excellent albums.
